The Vitara Brezza gets its first-ever petrol engine, since its launch in the Indian market in 2016
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) unveiled the new Vitara Brezza at Auto Expo 2020. The new car comes with a petrol engine, the first since its was rolled out in the Indian market in 2016 and will be powered by a 1.5 l K-series BS 6 petrol engine. The need for higher emission standards and a strong push towards cleaner fuels has prompted Maruti Suzuki to bring a BS 6-compliant petrol variant of the car.
According to the company, the engine produces 105PS power with 138Nm of torque which is mated to a 5-speed manual. The company is also offering an 4-speed automatic variant. The mild-hybrid tech will only be found in the automatic variant. Maruti Suzuki claims that car will manage to yield a mileage of 17.03 kmpl for the manual variant and 18.76 for the automatic hybrid variant.
The company said the Vitara Brezza will be offered in three new dual-tone color options - Red with Midnight Black roof, Torque Blue with midnight Black roof and Granite Grey with Autumn Orange roof.
The latest version of the compact SUV comes with bold front & rear fascia with integrated grille and DRLs, LED projector headlamps and tail lamps, dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, and 5-speed manual and advanced automatic transmission, the company noted.
The SUV is embedded with SmartPlay Studio with 17.78 cm screen size, vehicle alerts, live traffic navigation and access to curated online content. On the interiors front, the company gets techno-effect interior accents and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

He added that the all-new Vitara Brezza is bolder, sportier and more powerful and exuded confidence that the all-new Vitara Brezza, too, will continue the legacy with overwhelming customer response.
