Hero MotoCorp Invests Rs 84 Crore In Ather Energy In Series C Funding Extension

Ather Energy today announced of a fresh investment by Hero MotoCorp into the company, as an extension of its Series C round that was led by Sachin Bansal. Hero MotoCorp invested Rs 84 crore in Ather Energy, taking up its shareholding to 34.58 %, from 31.27 %. BMW Uses 3D Rider Model to Optimise Aerodynamics

 

BMW Motorrad is utilising a 3D model of Eugene Laverty to optimise aerodynamic efficiency on his BMW S 1000 RR. With the goal to keep aerodynamic as low as possible, flow conditions are simulated at the BMW Group Acoustic Wind Tunnel in Munich. The whole package of motorcycle and rider is used in the airflow, which is generated by the wind tunnel’s 2,600 hp electric motor and can reach speeds of up to 255 km/h. READ MORE

Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Gets the Most Powerful AMG V8

Looks like Mercedes-AMG engineers at Affalterbach put maximum effort on the new flagship Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series. Its 4.0l twin-turbocharged V8 engine develops 730 HP of maximum power and 800 Nm of colossus 800 Nm peak torque available between 2,000 to 6,000 rpm. Power development is also in the higher rev range, at 6,700 to 6,900 rpm. The power is delivered to the rear wheels via the AMG Speedshift DCT 7G transmission which sounds like a recipe for giant drifts. The two-door GT Black is capable of a zero to 100 kmph sprint in 3.2 seconds, and a zero to 200 kmph sprint under 9 seconds. The top speed figure is claimed at 325 kmph. READ MORE

Nexa Begins Pre-Bookings For New S-Cross Petrol

 

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) today announced that its Nexa sub-brand has commenced bookings for the new S-Cross petrol, with customers being able to book the car online, as well as at Nexa showrooms. Ola Foundation Releases Details Of Its ‘Drive The Driver’ Fund

 

Ola Foundation, the social welfare arm of Ola, today released a report detailing the impact of the ‘Drive The Driver’ fund and its efforts in assisting driver-partners and their families during the ongoing COVID crisis. Launched in March, the fund assisted the driver community through contributions from the Ola Group, its employees, Bhavish Aggarwal (Co-founder and CEO), investors, as well as crowdfunding from citizens and other institutions. The fund impacted 55,918 families, enabling 9.3 million meals and aiding 843 medical emergencies across 25 cities.

Lanxess Donates Buses In Nagda As Part Of Its CSR Outreach

 

Lanxess handed over two buses to the beneficiaries for transportation of government school students and differently-able children in the town of Nagda. The donation was part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects committed by the company for the year 2019-2020, under which five projects were implemented with an expenditure of over Rs 1.6 crore. The other four projects included setting up of a five-bed Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU) at the Nagda Civil Hospital, installation of solar street lights in Durgapura and Mehatwas, installation of drinking water storages in Takrawda and Bhikampur and greening of the Chambal riverbed.
