Analysis Of CO2 Emissions From Light Functions

CO2 emissions are generated not just by the drive, but also the headlights and other lighting systems

The Technische Universität Darmstadt conducted a field test in order to determine the utilisation rate of various light functions. For this purpose, test drives were carried out on sections in the city, on country roads and on highways, and the switch-on times of the lighting systems were recorded. The energy saving potential was calculated from the data obtained, if LED light sources are now used instead of halogen lamps.
