Mr Kartik Gopal helps companies leverage business opportunities at the intersection of energy, mobility and connectivity. As an independent consultant, he advises companies on technology and business strategy in electric vehicle and energy storage domains. Prior to this, he served as Chief Operating Officer – Electric Mobility Business at Greaves Cotton Ltd and earlier, as Head – Strategy and Business Planning at Mahindra Electric. He led the development of connected car technologies for India’s first connected car and the introduction of electric vehicles into three market segments for the first time ever in India. He has over 22 years of global work experience. He holds a masters degree in management from Stanford and in electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur.
Mr Sajid Mubashir is Scientist G in Department of Science & Technology. He is member-secretary for the (new) DHI-DST Technology Platform for Electric Mobility (TPEM), which will implement demand-driven R&D/ Roadmap based programme to develop technologies in: Battery & Charging Infrastructure; Vehicle Systems Integration; Electrical Components; Materials & Manufacturing. Most of the R&D Projects will be in Public-Private-Partnership mode, as Consortia Projects. The Mission will also establish half dozen major Centers of Excellence in Electric Mobility research. Earlier assignments were: Member R&D at the National Automotive Board (NAB), Department of Heavy Industry (last 2 years); Collaborative Automotive R&D (CAR) Program (2004-2010), and Home Grown Technology Program (HGT) – 1997-2005.
