The Auto Expo - The Motor Show 2020 will mark the presence of three Chinese OEMs - Great Wall Motors Company, SAIC and BYD

The 15th edition of Auto Expo - The Motor Show - jointly organised by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida from February 7-12. The Auto Components Show will be held at Pragati Maidan from February 6-9. Themed 'Explore the World of Mobility', The Auto Expo - The Motor Show will look to generate a positive buzz about the industry that has been plagued by a protracted slowdow. The organisers are leaving no stone unturned in making the Auto Expo - The Motor Show 2020 a huge success notwithstanding the prevailing industry slowdown that prompted many OEMs to stay away from the event.

Informing mediapersons about the preparedness for the Auto Expo - The Motor Show 2020, Rajan Wadhera, President, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) hoped that the show will be a big enabler for the automotive industry to move to the next level of growth. The SIAM President painted a positive picture amidst the prevailing slowdown."Many of our members are grappling with business challenges and we don't want to say anything on their non-participation, as it is an individual organisation decision. However, we must not take note of the fact that OEMs who drive volumes and market share are very much part of the 2020 Auto Expo," he pointed out.

The organisers of the Auto Expo - The Motor Show 2020 stated that the event will revolve around various megatrends such as clean vehicles, safer vehicles, electric & hybrid vehicles and connected vehicles.

The Auto Expo - The Motor Show 2020 will mark the presence of three Chinese OEMs - Great Wall Motors Company, SAIC and BYD as well as a slew of start-ups, especially related to the EV space. Two OEMs - Skoda Auto Volkswagen India and Force Motors - are making a comeback to the event after giving the 2018 edition a miss.

Unlike the earlier editions of Auto Expo, the 15th edition will open for public from 11:00 am (instead of 10:00 am earlier) to 7:00 pm on weekdays and from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm over the weekend.
