AMETEK Instruments India Opens Technology Solutions Centre In Bangalore

AMETEK Instruments (India) Pvt Ltd today announced the establishment of its Technology Solutions Centre at its headquarters in Bangalore, to support the growth of its electronic instrument and electromechanical products businesses. The company has invested $ 5.5 mn (about Rs 41 crore) in setting up the Technology Solutions Centre. AMETEK expects this centre to be a resource for customers in designing new products, selecting appropriate equipment to meet their application needs, servicing and calibrating devices, and providing hands-on demonstrations and training.

This Technology Solutions Centre is equipped with products from nearly 20 AMETEK businesses. It showcases the latest solutions from the company for Aerospace and Defence, Academia and Scientific Research, Automotive, Power, Metal, Pharmaceutical and Process instrumentation, factory automation, precision manufacturing instruments and electro-mechanical devices. The company is celebrating 10 years in India and expects strong growth as it continues to expand its capabilities and presence across the market. It is not only a key market but a great resource for global R&D and sourcing, AMETEK noted.

Milind Palsule, Managing Director, India and the Middle East, AMETEK, said the company is very pleased with its new Technology Solutions Centre. This centre represents a significant expansion of AMETEK’s technical and support capabilities in India and reflects the importance of its growing customer base in the country, he added. Palsule further said that the company can now provide customers with a wider range of services and support, including product demonstrations, training seminars and application workshops, along with factory-direct service, repair and support.

AMETEK India is a unit of AMETEK, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with annual revenue of over $ 4.8 bn, and headquartered in Pennsylvania, US. The company established its first direct sales presence in India in 2009, and has set up the R&D engineering centre, accredited calibration centre at its Bangalore facility.
