Ashok Leyland Ltd announced today organisational changes, in line with the company’s philosophy to provide growth opportunities for talent from within the company. These organisational changes are also in line with the company’s plans to shape the future growth strategies of the company and its portfolio of investments. The changes begin with the appointment of Gopal Mahadevan, who was recently appointed as Whole Time Director in addition to his current role as CFO and President, Customer Solutions Business, to also be responsible for Information Technology (IT), Corporate Strategy and Business Analytics.
In addition, Anuj Kathuria was appointed as Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for all of Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (MHCV) Business. Meanwhile, Nitin Seth has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV), Defence, International Operations (IO) and Power Solutions Business (PSB). Finally, Dr N Saravanan, who was recently appointed as Chief Technology Officer in addition to his current role, will also be responsible for the Electric Vehicles (EV) Business.
