Audi India has launched its new Audi A6 Matrix executive sedan, with a new engine, transmission, and Matrix LED headlights, at Rs 49.5 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi and Mumbai. The new engine in the Audi A6 Matrix is claimed to deliver a power output that is increased by 7 %, with a 5 % increase in fuel efficiency. The Audi A6 Matrix is the sixth launch for the company this year, after the R8 LMX, RS 7 Sportback, new TT Coupé, RS 6 Avant and new Audi Q3.
The main highlight of the new Audi A6 Matrix is its progressive Matrix LED headlights technology, which bundles the Matrix LED headlights with front and rear dynamic turn indicators. A bundle of 19 LEDs per headlight are paired with four reflectors that produce the high-beam light. The headlights are permanently on high beam, and illuminate the road without dazzling other road users by switching off individual LEDs when required, the company explained.

The driver is offered to shift between four driving modes, which can be accessed using Audi Drive Select. The car also features steering-mounted paddle shifters, as well as adaptive air suspension that not only adjusts to varying road conditions, but also according to the driving mode set on Audi Drive Select.
The new Audi A6 Matrix is equipped with the Next Generation Modular Infotainment Platform, which is claimed to offer a range of new functionalities. Audi said the MMI touch is available as a part of this system, and also offers a remote control for the convenience of the rear passengers. The infotainment system includes an eight-inch power-retractable monitor, advanced voice dialogue system, 600-W Bose surround sound system and a top-end navigation system. In terms of safety features, the A6 Matrix is equipped with eight airbags, of which two are dedicated rear side airbags, which is a best-in class feature.
Joe King, Head, Audi India, said the Audi A6 Matrix sets new standards in innovative technology that makes the sedan even more efficient, powerful, intuitive and sophisticated than ever. He added that the car features Audi Matrix LED headlights, signature single frame grill, new engine and transmission, advanced infotainment system, and updates to the profile and design. King also said that Audi has seen increasing demand and success with its launches and is confident of setting new benchmarks for the luxury car industry in India.
