COMSOL Multiphysics is a leading a leading simulation software provider, and believes in selling new ideas and technology to its customers. At the iTEC India 2019 conference, the company showcased some of its latest offering of tools and solutions around simulation playing an important role in the development of electric vehicle systems and technologies. With the latest version of the company’s flagship simulation software product, COMSOL Multiphysics version 5.5, recently being announced, a number of additional solutions have been added for the development of EV architecture.

The latest version of the COMSOL Multiphysics software includes enhancements in the areas of geometry, add-ins, optics, structural mechanics, acoustics, optimisation and COMSOL Compiler, as well as a few new products. The chemical engineering section of the software receives enhancements for materials and chemistry from thermodynamics, electrochemical reactions in the chemistry interface, current distribution in pipes, single-ion conductor charge balance option for solid-state battery modelling and lumped battery interface improvements. These solutions are pertinent in the development of EVs for future mobility.
