Maruti Launches BS 6 Dzire with Start-Stop Technology

Maruti Suzuki India has launched the BS 6 Dzire with idle start-stop technology at a starting price of Rs 5.89 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Powered by a 1.2 l, BS 6 engine, it will be available in manual and AMT gearbox versions. Upgrades include subtle design changes with some chrome inserts in the lower bumper design. The K-series engine utilizes cooled EGR system to aid cleaner emission, and piston cooling jet helps reduce friction inside the engine. Electronic stability program with hill-hold function is a standard fit now in all AMT variants on the new Dzire. Maruti has also added some interior features like cruise control, colour TFT driver information system and automatic folding rear-view mirrors synced to the vehicle key. READ MORE

Royal Enfield Clears Stocks Of All BS 4 Motorcycles

Royal Enfield today announced that is now among the first automotive companies in India to have successfully sold all existing inventory of BS 4 motorcycles across its dealerships. It has therefore become fully compliant with the new BS 6 emission norm regulation adequately ahead of the mandated timeline. The company introduced BS 6-compliant motorcycles in early January, with the Classic 350 dual-channel ABS being the first model to move to the new emission norm. READ MORE

DSM, JuggerBot 3D Advance Fused Granulate Fabrication

Royal DSM is expanding its additive manufacturing innovations in fused granulate fabrication (FGF through a partnership with Juggerbot 3D, an additive manufacturing machine builder. Juggerbot 3D recently developed a printer equipped with extrusion technology, to explore the untapped potential of FGF printing. Together, the two companies will develop high-performance pellet printers and materials for industrial additive manufacturing. JuggerBot 3D’s newest printer is designed specifically to process performance materials, like DSM’s glass-reinforced Arnite AM8527 (G). The company also leveraged DSM’s expertise during the development of its new P3-44 printer, which has a build volume that is three feet deep, four feet wide, and four feet tall, and is capable of producing parts up to 200 times faster than other machines.
