MAHLE Develops IPM Motor for Small EVs in India

MAHLE has introduced a low-voltage IPM Motor that finds application in small electric vehicles, especially electric two-wheelers and electric three-wheelers. MAHLE recently increased its stake to 90 % in former 50:50 joint venture MAHLE Electric Drives India (MEDI) that develops and supplies various e-mobility products. The company claims that the product shows 93 % system efficiency, emit low EMC and are resistant to on-road environmental conditions. MAHLE is increasing its footprint in electric mobility segment aggressively by localising mechatronics products as well as power electronics, stated the company.

Supreme Group Acquires Interior-trim and NVH Components Business from Futuris Automotive

 

Supreme Nonwovens Group ("Supreme") has announced the acquisition of automotive interior trims and NVH business of Futuris Automotive. Futuris is a subsidiary of Adient PLC, USA and has been acuquied under Supreme’s Thailand-based subsidiary Supreme Feltol Thailand Co. Ltd. Post-acquisition of Futuris' business, the Company will have a second plant in Eastern Seaboard and employ 230 staff and workmen across its two manufacturing plants in Thailand.
