MG ZS EV Launched at Inaugural Price of Rs 19.88 Lakh

MG (Morris Garages) Motor India launched its highly anticipated electric vehicle, the MG ZS EV in India at an inaugural price of Rs 19.88 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The introductory price is applicable only for those customers that have booked the vehicle before the midnight of January 17, 2020. The company is offering the new MG ZS EV in two variants - Excite and Exclusive. For customers who have booked the Exclusive variant of the new MG EZ EV before January 17, prices stand at Rs 22.58 lakh. New prices for all bookings after January 17 stand at Rs 20.88 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Excite variant and Rs 23.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Exclusive variant. The company is also offering a free of charge 5-year manufacturer warrant for unlimited kilometers on the car as well as an 8 years/ 1,50,000 kms warrant on the battery.

Kia Recieves 1,410 Bookings for Carnival on Day One

Kia Motors has received over 1,410 bookings for the much awaited Kia Carnival MPV on the first day of bookings opening. The pre-booking for the Carnival opened on January 21, 2020 and received an overwhelming response much ahead of the scheduled launch and price reveal at the upcoming Auto Expo in February this year. Customers can pre-book the all new Kia Carnival in India through the company's website and its 265 touch points across India. The booking amount for the Kia Carnival stands at Rs 1,00,000.

TVS Opens Bookings for BS 6 TVS Apache RTR 160

TVS Motor Company has announced the commencement of bookings for its BS 6 complaint 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 motorcycle. the new 2020 TVS Apache 160 will offer updated race graphics, sportier appeal and will be driven by the new race tuned fuel injection RT-Fi technology. As per the company the new engine has been designed for enhanced performance. The new engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, offers 15.53 PS and 13.9 Nm of torque.

Volkswagen and Aeris Communications form JV for Connected Vehicle Technologies

Volkswagen Group of America and Aeris Communications have announced the formation of a new joint venture (JV) - Ventic LLC. The JV is a result of a long-term collaboration and commitment between both companies for the development and operations of connected vehicle platform technologies. Ventic is jointly owned with Volkswagen holding 51 % and Aeris holding 49 % stake in the new venture. Ventic will focus on VW vehciles in North America and will begin with the launch of the new next gen Car-Net in a majority of its MY20 vehicles.

Piaggio Launches Performance Range BS 6 Three Wheeler in India 

Piaggio Vehicles has showcased its range of BS 6 compliant products. The company has termed the new range of vehicles as Performance Range that offers both diesel and alternate fuel vehicles. The diesel range offers a new engine with 599 cc of capacity that develops 7 kW of power and 23.5 Nm of torque. The engine is offered with a 5-speed gearbox as well as a new aluminum clutch. The setup has been estimated to improve load carrying capability and reduce trip time. The new Cargo range of products offers a larger cabin with greater head room and space for the driver, increasing productivity. The alternate fuel range is offered with a 230 cc 3-valve hi-tech engine.
