Sanmina Achieves New Certification For Automotive Manufacturing In Chennai

Sanmina Corporation, integrated manufacturer of electronic, optical and mechanical products, has announced it has achieved the IATF 16949:2016 certification at its manufacturing facility in Chennai. This certification, combined with the plant’s Domestic Tariff Area status in a Hi-Tech Special Economic Zone, enables Sanmina to manufacture and deliver automotive products for both domestic and export markets, without additional customs duty. Ampere Vehicles Expands Pan-India EV Network With 23 New Dealerships

Ampere Vehicles, a wholly-owned electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, today announced the expansion of its electric vehicle distribution network, with 23 new dealerships across India. The company has been setting up the new dealerships since September 2019, which will showcase Ampere’s range of e-scooters that are eco-friendly with running costs claimed to as low as 15 paise per km. The dealerships have been set up in the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan.

Honda Two-Wheelers BS 6 Models Cross 60,000 Units Sales Milestone

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd said its first two BS 6 offerings - the all-new Activa 125 BS-VI and new 125 cc SP 125 motorcycle have cumulatively crossed 60,000 units sales. The company said it has achieved this landmark in a record time, even as both these BS 6 models are moving towards all-India availability at its network. The BS 6 models are seeing an overwhelming demand from all the regions, Honda noted.
