Tata Motors Creates PV Subsidiary; Shailesh Chandra to Head New Entity

ACMA Seeks Relief for Employees of the Auto Component Industry 

Despite many efforts taken by manufacturers and the government, ACMA suggests these might not be enough for the workers of automotive component manufacturing especially in Tier 2 and 3 units. ACMA has requested for relaxation across borrowing norms and statutory payments, fixed electricity charge and levy of demurrage charges for a minimum of seven days for import cargo clearance. Also, suggestion includes norms for NPA recognition to be eased by extending the moratorium on payment of principal and interest by at least a year.
