Triumph Unveils Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition

Inspired by the motorcycle ridden in the upcoming Bond film ‘No Time To Die’, Triumph Motorcycles has released a limited bond edition Scrambler 1200 XE. Limited to just 250 units worldwide, this exclusive run will feature ‘007’ bodywork and paint livery. Bodywork includes 007 brandings on exhaust number board and lower side panel finisher. The TFT start-up screen is unique as well along with real leather seat with an embroidered logo. The overall paint scheme follows ‘007’ inspired artwork with many blacked-out finishes all around. The engine is a parallel twin developing 89 hp of power and 110 Nm peak torque. It has been tuned to produce higher torque lower down the rpm range to be easy both off-road and on it. Bond Edition also comes with fully-adjustable twin-spring Ohlins rear shocks with 250 mm travel for extended off-road capabilities. READ MORE

Maruti Suzuki Launches BS 6-Compliant Super Carry S-CNG At Rs 5.07 Lakh

 

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the BS6 compliant S-CNG variant of its light commercial vehicle Super Carry at Rs 5.07 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The 4-cylinder powered light commercial vehicle Super Carry churns out 65 Ps of power @6,000rpm and 85 Nm torque at @3,000rpm to ensure smooth pickup. Maruti Suzuki mini truck comes with an array of safety and convenience features such as reverse parking sensor, seat belt reminder, lockable glove box and a large loading deck. Super Carry is the only LCV in the country with a dual fuel S-CNG variant with a 5L petrol tank, for on-road assurance, stated the company. READ MORE

BattRE Launches Connected Scooter gps:ie At Rs 64,990

 

BattRE Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd has launched a new electric scooter gps:ie with a 48V 24Ah battery good for 65km per charge. Its kerb weight of 60kg should make it easy for most riders and a charging time of 2.5 hours is decent enough for most urban use. A selection of smart features on its telematics platform will enhance user experience. Accessed by an app-based user interface, connected features enable features like tracking, remote immobilization, driving behaviour and trip based information along with alerts like tow alert, crash report, speeding, device status and office alert. BattRE has announced a Rs 64,990 price tag on it with the first-year subscription for connected features included in the price. SIAM Welcomes RBI Announcement Repo Rate Cut

 

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has welcomed the 40 bps reduction in repo rate by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Rajan Wadhera, President, SIAM, said reduction in the repo rate is a very welcome step by RBI to support reduction in the cost of borrowing for traders and consumers, and hence would positively impact consumer demand. The industry body is hopeful that banks will pass on the benefit and support demand creation for discretionary products, like automobiles, he added.

BMW Motorrad Launches F 900 R, F 900 XR Motorcycles in India

BMW Motorrad India launched its all-new F 900 R and F 900 XR motorcycles in India, with prices starting at Rs 9.90 lakh and Rs 10.50 lakh, respectively, ex-showroom. These two motorcycles will be available as completely built-up units (CBU) throughout the BMW Motorrad dealer network. The BMW F 900 R is a roadster, while the F 900 XR is an adventure sports tourer, and both are powered by an 895 cc, water-cooled, in-line two-cylinder engine. The engine is equipped with four valves per cylinder, two overhead camshafts and dry-sump lubrication, delivering of 105 hp of power and a maximum torque of 92 Nm.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Reopens Dealerships, Resumes Functions

 

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) today announced it has reopened more than 50 % of its dealerships, while having resumed dispatches from 18 May. Currently, 5,000 new vehicles have been sold and 50,000 vehicles have been serviced at dealerships, the company noted. Adhering to social distancing norms and safety measures, SMIPL has charted-out detailed precautionary guidelines for dealerships. These guidelines are to be adhered to in ensuring continuity and smooth functioning without compromising on the well-being of the workforce and customers.

Maruti Suzuki, Cholamandalam Offer Deferred Payment Schemes For Car Buying

 

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) and Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Ltd (CIFCL) have joined hands to offer customers the flexibility to pay EMIs after two months of availing the loan. This offer has been rolled out with the aim of making new car purchase easy and affordable, the company noted. The objective of this partnership is to provide customised auto retail financing solutions to retail buyers, it added, stating that a two-month deferment of EMI will bring advantage to car customers who currently are under resource crunch amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The offer is available on select Maruti Suzuki models and will be applicable on loan disbursement till 30 June 2020.
