ADVIK Hi-Tech Rs 350 Crore Order Driveline Oil Pumps Magna Powertrain

ADVIK Hi-Tech, global automotive component manufacturer today announced that it has won six orders from Magna Powertrain to supply transmission oil pumps to the company. Magna Powertrain is claimed to be the largest independent supplier of 4WD/AWD systems globally, and is a part of Magna International. This order entails design, development, and manufacture of driveline oil pumps for passenger cars and SUVs, making ADVIK one of the largest manufacturers of 4WD transmission oil pump. It also further expands the company’s scope in the four-wheeler segment.

ADVIK estimates the order from Magna Powertrain to generate sales revenues of about Rs 350 crore over its lifetime and is expected to commence from calendar year 2018. The oil pump will be instated by Magna Powertrain on their 4WD transfer cases to be assembled in Mexico, Germany, and Austria. These oil pumps have been developed by the R&D department at ADVIK Group, along with their technical partner Trochocentric GmbH, Germany.

Aditya Bhartia, Managing Director, ADVIK Group of Companies, said the company is happy that Magna has chosen ADVIK as its partner for oil pumps for driveline system. This latest cooperation with Magna exemplifies ADVIK’s customers’ confidence in its ability to deliver best-in-class products along with strong R&D capabilities and operational excellence, he added. Bhartia also said, “going forward, we expect to further expand into the four-wheeler oil pump space.”
