Aptiv PLC, a global technology company, today announced it has completed acquisition of KUM, provider of highly-engineered connectors and cable management solutions for a range of harsh-environment automotive applications. This acquisition is claimed to enhance Aptiv’s competitive position in Korea and China.
KUM is headquartered in Ulsan, South Korea, and is said to enhance Aptiv’s global market position, and expand its range of specialised connectors and cable management solutions. With a highly complementary footprint and product portfolio, KUM will be fully integrated into Aptiv’s existing Asia Pacific operations, the company noted.
Kevin Clark, President and CEO, Aptiv, said KUM is a great fit for the company’s business and strengthens its leadership position in Asia Pacific, and engineered components. Aptiv values KUM’s deep customer relationships, and are confident in the company’s ability to provide a quick and seamless transition for all key stakeholders, he added.
