Expanded collaboration to drive large-scale digital transformation and business success through new technologies
HCL Technologies announced today that it has been selected by Volvo Cars for an end-to-end IT services deal, including scope of its new digital transformation program. This engagement is an expansion of a collaboration that began in 2016, and will see HCL supporting Volvo in its ongoing digital transformation initiatives. This transformation programme includes organisation-wide technology shifts that will help the carmaker to capitalise on new opportunities to improve internal business processes and customer experiences, it noted.
The digital transformational roadmap defined by HCL and Volvo Cars includes steps to establish an agile and product-oriented organisation. These initiatives will enable Volvo Cars to solve business complexity efficiently and achieve faster time-to-market, as well as leveraging the strength of mobility, subscription-based services, electrification and autonomous driving. HCL noted that the collaboration between the two organisations is expanding to include several aspects of digital transformation, including product orientation, DevOps and application integration.
Pankaj Tagra, Executive Vice-President and Head, Nordic and DACH Business, HCL Technologies, said the company is looking forward to helping Volvo Cars by leveraging its industry-leading service capabilities and automotive domain expertise. HCL will focus on helping Volvo to transform its digital landscape and further leverage advanced opportunities that new technologies can offer, he added.
