Lamborghini Unveils Urus ST-X Concept

Lamborghini unveiled the URUS ST-X Concept during the 2018 Squadra Corse World Finals. The Urus ST-X is the race spec version of the Urus super SUV and has been conceived for an innovating single-brand championship which will combine both, a race circuit as well as an off-road track.

The new racing format will make its debut in 2020 in Europe and the Middle East on specially designed FIA approved circuits with an ‘arrive and drive’ formula designed for driver-customers, including car and technical support during race weekends.

The Urus ST-X Concept has applied the Lamborghini Squadra Corsa’s motorsport experience to a new segment. In contrast to the production spec variant, the Urus ST-X has been mechanically optimised and equipped with all FIA approved safety aspects, including a steel roll cage, fire suppressions system and FT3 fuel tank.

The Urus ST-X Concept features a visible carbon fiber treatment on the hood, large air intages for cooling the V8 twin-turbo engine that is capable of belting out 650 CV and 850 Nm of torque. The look for this super SUV has been completed with rear wing, lateral race exhausts in a new hexagonal design and 21” single-nut aluminum alloy rims with Pirelli tyres.

During development of the race configured SUV, 25 % weight reduction has been achieved in contrast with the production spec model. The SUV features a light weight build with a raised suspensions and torsional stiffening has been provided with a roll cage for track and off-road use. The track debut will take place at the 2019 World Finals.
