James Yang has been appointed as the President for the India subsidiary, and Parker Shi will be the Managing Director
GWM India has announced senior leadership changes with James Yang as the President and Parker Shi as Managing Director for the auto manufacturer. The company has reassured the importance of the Indian market in the global auto portfolio. James Yang holds extensive experience in R&D, project, and marketing management. He will be heading the GWM India project with R&D, plant, and industrial operations. Parker Shi has experience in global business and has help GWM expand its footprint in the Middle East, Africa, and Australia markets. He will spearhead the commercial operations for the Indian subsidiary on GWM.
James Yang stated at his appointment “I am happy that I have been given the chance to lead the operations at such a crucial juncture and hope that we can work towards providing the best quality products and at the same time generate more employment, business, and economic viability.” He also said, “India holds great importance for GWM and is an important partner in the overall scheme of things in the ASEAN region. Our commitment towards the Indian market has been showcased with the investments in the Talegaon plant and R&D facility”. GWM has 14 manufacturing facilities across the globe. Parker Shi mentioned “I am happy to be a part of a team that is looking at making a foray in a highly competitive and soon to be the fourth-largest market in the world. We at GWM are highly optimistic about the Indian market and we foresee recovery of the market in the near future”.
