Harley-Davidson has added two motorcyles to its portfolio in India – Street Glide Special and Forty Eight Special motorcycles in India. Where Street glide Special will now be available for Rs 30.53 lakh, Forty Eight Special will be available for Rs 10.98 lakh (ex-showroom Pan India). Harley Davidon has completed 10 years of its existence in India and the launch takes its motorcycle portfolio total to 18 in India.
Forty Eight Special gets 1200cc Evolution® V-Twin engine that puts out 96 Nm torque at 4,250 rpm. It comes equipped with quick handling and features an emulsion rear shock with a screw pre-load adjuster for a comfortable ride. For the visual appeal, Harley Davidson India has loaded the bike with 7.25-inch high Tallboy handlebar, 70’s custom tank art and split nine-spoke cast aluminium wheels. It also gets a 130mm front tyre framed by 49 mm forks secured in forged aluminum triple clamps.
Street Glide Special is a replacement of H-D Street Glide Special and gets a larger 1,868 cc Milawaukee eight 114 V-twin engine that puts out 165 Nm at 3,000 rpm and is coupled to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets stretched saddlebags, dual bending valve front forks, adjustable rear suspension, 19 inch front and 18 inch rear talon wheels for for a smoother ride.
