The new Hero Splendor iSmart gets a BS VI engine that offers 10 % more torque while the motorcycle's ground clearance has increased by 20 mm
Hero MotoCorp launched its first BS-VI compliant motorcycle the Splendor iSmart in India at a price of Rs 64,900 (ex-showroom). The motorcycle was launched in an online event where company spokespersons unveiled and then launched the new and first BS VI complaint motorcycle in India.
The bikes have been sent to a few dealerships for training purposes in September. The company has stated that it will make the motorcycle available at all dealerships across the country in the next three to four weeks.
Hero's latest motorcycle was designed at its Centre of Innovation in Jaipur and is the first BS VI model that gets i3S technology, offering 45 % lesser emissions. As per information shared by the company, the new Hero Splendor iSmart will get a BS VI engine that offers 10 % more torque and has been built on a diamond type tubular frame. The bike has also received an increase in its ground clearance that now stands at 180 mm, the wheelbase has been stretched by 36 mm while the suspension receives and increase of 15 mm.
