Hero Names Malo Le Masson Global Product Planning Head
Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL) has announced the augmentation of its senior leadership team with the appointment of Malo Le Masson as the Head of Global Product Planning. Masson will spearhead HMCL’s entire product planning for its global markets, including the domestic market in India.
Masson moves to HMCL from the Infiniti Motor Company, Nissan Motor Company’s premium car brand, where he was the Global Head of Product Long Term Strategy since 2013. Prior to that, he had been associated with Nissan in various projects and product planning roles at global, as well as European levels. Masson is said to have acquired expertise in Project Management, Competitive Analysis, Strategy Analysis, Business Planning, Market Analysis Pricing, Product Marketing and Electric Vehicles Engineering over the years.
He holds an Engineering diploma from National Engineering School of Tarbes, France (ENIT), and Masters in Fluid Dynamics from Aix-Marseille, France. He is accredited with the Concept of the new generation Nissan Micra to be presented later this year, along with the development and launch of the Nissan Juke and Nissan Leaf in Europe. Masson is also said to be credited with the management of the entire B platform Nissan cars for Europe.

With the appointment of Masson in this core function, HMCL has taken a decisive step towards aligning its future product development to its overall corporate strategy, he added.
