Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has rolled out its much-hyped new-generation Amaze at an introductory price of Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom – Delhi). However, these prices are applicable for the first 20,000 customers of the new Amaze. The range-topping petrol V CVT has been launched at Rs 7.99 lakhs, while the range-topping diesel V CVT will be priced at Rs. 8.99 lakh.
The Amaze’s petrol variant is powered by 1.2-litre engine that churns out 90 PS@6000 rpm power and 110 NM torque@4800 rpm with fuel efficiency of 19.5 km/per litre for the manual transmission and 19 km/per litre for the automatic transmission. The diesel variant is powered by 1.5-litre engine that generates 100PS power at 3600 rpm producing a torque of 200NM @1750 rpm for the manual transmission claiming a fuel efficiency of 27.4 km/litre.
The new Amaze will compete with the likes of Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire and the Volkswagen Ameo. The newest offering from the Honda stable offers 3 years unlimited kms warranty that can be extended to 5 years.
Honda claims that the annual maintenance cost of the Amaze is likely to be 10% lower than the industry standard and will also offer 28 accessories for its customers with two accessory packages for Rs 9,999 and Rs 4,999 respectively. The Amaze was first unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo.
