COVID-19 Testing Kits from South Korea have been ordered by Hyundai Motor India Foundation which will be distributed to Centre and State authorities

Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) has ordered COVID-19 advanced diagnostic testing kits from South Korea for fighting against coronavirus pandemic. These highly accurate test kits will be able to help over 25000 people. These kits will be distributed to Centre and State government hospitals in affected regions after the shipment arrives in the country. The distribution will be carried out in accordance with the guidelines set by Ministry of Health and State Governments. This is yet another step by manufacturers in a collective fight against this international crisis. Hyundai has also placed initiatives to help its customers with due services and warranty extensions wherever applicable by two months.

Hyundai India has also commissioned 1000 doorstep service bikes/cars through dealers for any minor repairs and any other assists. SS Kim, Managing Director & CEO, Hyundai Motor India stated, “As part of our global direction – ‘Progress for Humanity’, Hyundai is committed to support the Government of India’s spirited fight against the COVID-19 crisis. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and support the Indian Government with multi-layered CSR initiatives to bring back normalcy at the earliest”. At a stage where India sits on currently, testing is the most important practice which will ensure quick resolve to the epidemic. With most manufacturers donating and adding necessary equipment to the countries arsenal, COVID-19 could see an early resolve. Hyundai, like other OEMs, has to shut production but continues to support its customers and the Government in other ways. These extended warranty and service supports should prove beneficial to existing customers who cannot move about for now.
