With nearly 15,000 bookings received, Hyundai has delivered 11,000 new cars to customers in the month of May
Hyundai Motor India Ltd posted a cumulative sales figure of 12,583 units through the month of May 2020, with 11,000 new car deliveries made to customers. The company has reopened 850 showrooms and 1,000 workshops throughout the country with safety protocols in place. The sales figure comprises of 6,883 domestic and 5,700 export units. New launches of Creta and Verna have also helped garner a lot of bookings. Creta was able to get 24,000 bookings since its launch which still looks healthy through the current crisis scenario. This gradual reopening of dealerships will further expand sales numbers in addition to the digital sales platforms made available by Hyundai. Service and maintenance will be expected to grow as well as more cars return to the roads.
The new Verna should be able to further increase sales numbers as more people showing interest in the updated model. It has a powerful engine setup with connected car features making is a worthy contender in the segment.
