Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India Ltd launched its locally-manufactured 2018 Model Year Jaguar F-PACE performance SUV today, at a price of Rs 60.02 lakh, ex-showroom India. The Jaguar F-Pace is manufactured at the JLR plant in Pune, and is available in the Prestige variant, powered by the company’s Ingenium diesel engine. The company has managed to shave off over Rs 8 lakh from the price tag, when compared to the original launch price of Rs 68.40 lakh.
This launch makes the Jaguar F-PACE the sixth model from JLR to be locally-manufactured in India, bookings for which are now open, with deliveries starting from the end of November. The performance SUV will also be available for online booking at www.findmeacar.in.
The Jaguar F-PACE is powered by a 2 l, four-cylinder, Ingenium diesel engine that delivers 177 hp of power, with peak torque of 430 Nm. The SUV features an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system, which combines with Jaguar’s lightweight aluminium architecture and advanced dynamic technologies to offer a performance-oriented driving experience. The F-Pace also comes with adaptive LED headlights, rear recline seats, four-zone climate control, 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 380 W Meridian sound system, Wi-fi hotspot and pro services and Activity Key.
Rohit Suri, Managing Director and President, JLR India Ltd, said the F-PACE has captured hearts and minds of fans, as well as customers spread across India, since launch in October, 2016. Launch of the locally-manufactured F-PACE signifies another milestone in the company’s continued commitment and efforts towards the ‘Make in India’ policy of the Government of India, he added.
