Kia Motors India showcased its much-talked-about Carnival for the Elite class and will roll out the same at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2020. Powered by a diesel 2.2L VGT BS6-compliant engine paired with an 8-speed Sportsmatic transmission (8AT), the Kia Carnival offers power-packed performance along with most aspirational interior and exceptional ride and comfort, claimed the company.
The company said the Kia Carnival will be offered in exuberant trims – Premium, Prestige and Limousine and with multiple seating configurations of 7, 8 and 9. The Carnival offers two 7 seater options, while the regular has 4 captain seats with 3 sinking seats - another variation the 7 VIP, has the option of second row VIP seat for ultra-luxurious experience. The company said the 8 seater has 4 captain seats and 3 sinking seats, while the 9 seater has 6 Captain and 3 sinking seats .
The Kia Carnival comes with class-leading features to connect with style-conscious and tech-savvy consumers like Dual Panel Electric Sunroof, VIP Seats with 10.1” Dual Touchscreen Rear Seat Entertainment System, One-Touch Power Sliding Door and Smart Power Tailgate among others.
It may be worth recalling that the Carnival will be Kia Motors India's second product after the blockbuster run of Kia Seltos SUV that was launched last year.
Kookhyun Shim, MD & CEO, Kia Motors India said the company is overwhelmed by the love the Indian market has shown for the Kia brand. The Carnival is a new aspirational offering and its fresh styling, rich features and exuberant appointments will address the unmet needs of the Indian Elite Class consumers, he added.
The pricing of the new Kia Carnival and its variants will be announced at the Delhi Auto Expo 2020.
