KPIT, Udacity Team Up for Autonomous Vehicle Engineering


KPIT Technologies and learning platform Udacity have agreed to develop an engineering talent ecosystem for autonomous vehicle engineering. The strategic partnership will see KPIT invest in upskilling employees with Udacity courses resulting in industry recognised certification. KPIT and Udacity partnership accelerates the scalability required in these areas by providing training and competency in AI, Self-Driving Car Engineering, Data Engineering.

KPIT has already been powering OEMs and Tier 1 organisations to accelerate towards next-generation vehicle technologies. With autonomous driving space witnessing rapid growth and calling for new skills, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, deep learning and big data are some of the key skills required. The global tech firm has also launched a program for several hundred scholarships for Self-Driving Car Engineering Nanodegree program from Udacity.

Kishor Patil, Co-founder, CEO & MD, KPIT Technologies, said the impact of autonomous systems and self-driving technologies in evolving economies such as India could be even more significant. Such collaborations will leverage its strengths and benefit the industry as well students’ community to learn latest technologies, noted the company.
