Bajaj Auto Ltd today launched the 2017 range of Duke motorcycles, comprising of the 390 Duke, 250 Duke and 200 Duke. The KTM Duke 200, 250 and 390 motorcycles are prices at Rs 1.43 lakh, Rs 1.73 lakh and Rs 2.26 lakh, respectively, all prices being ex-showroom Delhi.
The new entrant to the Duke family in India is the 250 Duke, which features a design language on the lines of the bigger Duke models. The 250 Duke is equipped with an engine putting out about 30 hp of power, and features a slipper clutch and an ultra-light chassis with a newly-developed bolt-on sub-frame.
The top-of-the-line 390 Duke 2017 model develops more power, with a new design featuring split LED headlamps, a larger steel fuel tank and a dual-colour split frame. The engine on the 390 Duke puts out maximum power of 43 hp, and 37 Nm of torque. It is equipped with ride-by-wire technology for smooth throttle response through the use of sensors, and first-in-class multi-colour TFT display console that can be paired with a smartphone and controlled from the handlebar. It has a 320 mm front disc brake with ABS by BOSCH and a slipper clutch.
The 200 Duke receives a refreshed graphic scheme for 2017 and will continue to be available in orange, white and black colours. All the 2017 KTM Duke models launched would be BS-IV compliant, the company said.
