Jaguar Land Rover India has launched the new Discovery Sport for a price range of Rs 57.06 lakhs – Rs 60.89 lakhs. The new BS 6 compliant Discovery Sport will be available in two trims – S derivative and R-Dynamic SE. Start of deliveries of petrol powered Discovery Sport will be subsequent to start of diesel and will be announced separately.
Powered by BS6 compliant Ingenium powertrains, the New Discovery Sport is available with a choice of 2.0 l turbocharged petrol with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that churns out 251 Ps power and 365 Nm of torque or a 2.0 l turbocharged diesel that produces 179 Ps power and 430 Nm of torque.
The new Discovery Sport has been designed with new premium LED headlights with Daytime Running Lights and rear LED lights for a purposeful stance. Built on the new Land Rover Premium Transverse Architecture (PTA), the Discovery Sport has All Wheel Drive and Hill Descent Control for an effortless drive. The new car by JLR in India also gets All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) that works seamlessly alongside the standard Terrain Response 2, All Wheel Drive (AWD) traction and braking systems for maintaining steady speed in the challenging conditions as well, claims the company.
The new Discovery Sport also is equipped with a new display screen and centre console. Advanced Land Rover InControl Touch Pro infotainment is a standard fitment and is available with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, smart settings use artificial intelligence algorithms to learn driver preferences, adjusting massage and seat positions, music and climate settings and steering column positioning to suit each driver.
