Mahindra Christens S201 as XUV 300

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) unveiled the name of its compact SUV contender codenamed the S201. M&M has officially announced the moniker for the S201 as the XUV 300. The compact SUV features a cheetah-inspired design and is said to have fun-to-drive performance. Mahindra has also claimed the compact SUV will get first in segment features, safety and plush interiors. The Mahindra XUV 300 is slated to be launched in the first half of February 2019.

As anticipated, M&M has announced that the XUV 300 will share its platform with the SsangYong Tivoli, a product that has sold more than 2.6 lakh units globally across 50 markets. Mahindra has envisioned the XUV 300 to carry forth the design inspirations that the XUV 500 has been based on. The compact SUV features projector headlamps with DRLs that integrate with the fog lamps, muscular wheel arches and a modern grille with chrome inserts. The hood has a sculpted look and the body has strong design lines to give the XUV 300 a macho and bulky look. It also features LED rear tail lamps.

The XUV300 will be manufactured at the company’s manufacturing facility at Nasik, Maharashtra and will be offered in India with both diesel and petrol powertrain options. The XUV 300 features dual tone interiors, steering mounted controls, touch screen infotainment, automatic climate control, push button start/ stop, USB input and much more.
