2020 Dzire gets a BS 6 1.2l engine claiming fuel efficiency of 23.26 kmpl in manual transmission variant and 24.12 kmpl in AGS variant

Maruti Suzuki India has launched the BS 6 Dzire with idle start-stop technology at a starting price of Rs 5.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Powered by a 1.2l BS 6 engine, it will be available in manual and AMT gearbox versions. Upgrades include subtle design changes with some chrome inserts in the lower bumper design. The K-series engine utilizes cooled EGR system to aid cleaner emission, and piston cooling jet helps reduce friction inside the engine. Electronic stability program with hill-hold function is a standard fit now in all AMT variants on the new Dzire. Maruti has also added some interior features like cruise control, color TFT driver information system and automatic folding rear-view mirrors synced to the vehicle key.

Dzire has been a very popular family sedan as low maintenance highly fuel-efficient option. This new 2020 version takes things up a notch with a BS 6 engine, stability program on AGS and improved interior design. The 7-inch Smaryplay touchscreen infotainment system will also support cloud-based services including music, news feed, weather updates and live traffic information for an improved experience. The ESP with hill-hold function in the automated-manual transmission variants not only holds the vehicle from rolling back on inclines, but manages grip on all wheels to improve safety. Maruti has increased brake sizes both front and rear for enhanced brake performance and durability. 2020 Dzire will be offered in two new color tones, silver and red.
