Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) today announced that its S-Presso Mini-SUV marks its presence amongst country’s top 10 bestselling cars within a month of its launch. The company sold 10,634 units of S-PRESSO in October 2019.

The S-Presso hatchback offers customers best design, technology and safety, MSIL noted. It added that the car comes with a proven 1 l, K10 petrol engine compliant with BSVI emission standard. It also offers spacious interiors, dashboard accents, bold front facia and single aperture headlamps that are said to have struck the right cord with customers. Additionally, the car has also been appreciated, for its commanding seating position, road visibility and the pickup, the company said.

S-Presso comes with a distinct SUV character, a bold design statement, a unique and exciting interior look, while offering first-in-its class steering-mounted audio and voice control. The car also has a user-friendly graphic user interface, compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and other Smartplay Studio Apps. It is available with both manual and Auto Gear Shift (AGS) options, leading to delivery of peppy performance and great fuel-efficiency.

MSIL said the S-Presso is a result of continuous and consistent effort to reinforce the passenger and pedestrian safety. The car is built on Suzuki’s fifth-generation HEARTECT platform, and is compliant with all the latest Indian safety regulations including frontal offset crash, side impact and with pedestrian safety.

Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing and Sales), MSIL, said Indian buyers have a clear inclination towards feature-loaded, safe, comfortable and easy to own entry level cars. S-PRESSO has been able to carve out its own niche in the entry segment, he added. Srivastava noted that the S-PRESSO stands apart to offer unique experiences to its distinct customers in the segment.
