MSIL Recalls Certain WagonR (1 L) hatchbacks to check, rectify issue free of cost

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) today has announced the proactive and voluntary recall for certain units of its WagonR (1 L) hatchback manufactured between 15 November, 2018, and 12 August, 2019. MSIL has recalled 40,618 WagonR cars to inspect them for a possible issue of fuel hose fouling with metal clamp.

Owners of the suspected affected vehicles will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers from 2 August, 2019, for inspection and replacement of the faulty parts, free of cost. Alternatively, customers can visit the following link and fill in the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) of their vehicle to check if their vehicle needs attention. The chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and is also in the vehicle invoice / registration documents.
