Maruti Suzuki today launched the new Swift at the Auto Expo 2018. The hatchback comes at a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 7.96 lakh for the top variant, ex-showroom Delhi. Bookings for the third-generation Swift opened in January and there is already an estimated 6-8 week waiting period for the car.
The car is available in both petrol and diesel variants along with automatic transmission options. The engines remain unchanged, the 1.2 l K-series petrol and the 1.3 l DDiS diesel will continue with the new Swift. The Swift first arrived in India in 2005 and Maruti has till date managed to sell 18 lakh units of the car.
