The complete process of the test drive, booking, and delivery of MG cars will be digitized
Keeping in mind the safety of MG car owners, the company has announced a Disinfect and Deliver initiative. The service ensures all MG vehicles will be completely sanitized before handing over to customers for test drives or deliveries. To aid this further, all test drive, booking and delivery services have been made converted to online platforms. All vehicles sent for test drives or deliveries will be swabbed with disinfectants for safety of employees and customers. At the dealerships as well, all possible preventive measures are being observed to minimize the spread of COVID-19. The digitization of all processes will help too with Hector and ZS EV bookings done online and delivered to respective customer homes.
Limited staff functioning at the dealerships has been employed at different intervals for minimum human-to-human interaction. Also customer care executives will be working from home 24X7 supporting all emergency requirements like Road Side Assistance (RSA) services. Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG Motor India, stated, “As a responsible organization, we are committed towards the safety and health of our customers, dealer partners, dealer staff and employees. We regret any inconvenience caused to our customers in advance”. With the COVID-19 situation becoming direr, every manufacturer has to take drastic steps to ensure safety of all parties involved. Many of them have started shutting of production units, and sanitizing all human touchpoints for safety. MG Motor has further added systems to sanitize not just delivery, but also all test drive vehicles as they exchange hands more often. Hence both dealership employees and customers need to make sure safety while test driving vehicles.
