Suzuki Motorcycle India has unveiled the Burgman Street at Rs 68,000 (ex showroom, Delhi). This 125 cc scooter – a descendant from its Burgman portfolio - carries a blend of luxurious design drawn from the European scooter design language and is equipped with advanced technology, the company said.
The Burgman Street is powered by a 125cc 4-stroke air-cooled engine with SOHC 2 valve single cylinder BS-VI engine and delivers 8.7 hp of peak power at 7000 rpm and 10.2 Nm of maximum torque at 5000 rpm. The newest offering is powered by the Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology that offers optimal fuel engine without compromising on either power or performance, the company claimed. The CBS on Burgman Street enables operation of both brakes from the left brake lever, thus helping maintain a good balance between front and rear brake forces.
Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said that the Burgman Street creates a new category of scooter in India, focusing on the concept of advanced luxury riding. The company is committed to providing premium, innovative and world-class products to its customers.
Sajeev Rajasekharan, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said that the company enjoys leadership position in the 125cc scooter segment in India and added that Burgman Street redefines luxury and comfort in the country’s scooter segment.
