Tata Motors Ltd has launched its ACE Mega pick-up truck, with increased performance and enhanced looks at Rs 4.32 lakh, ex-showroom Thane. The Tata ACE Mega will initially be available for sale in seven states – Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.
The Tata ACE Mega is powered by the fourth-generation two-cylinder, 800 cc, DiCOR lightweight aluminium engine delivering 40 hp of power, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The small commercial vehicle (SCV) features large brakes with 7-inch vacuum booster, and strong front and rear leaf-spring suspension and axles, and is claimed to offer best-in-class fuel efficiency of 18.5 km/l. The Tata ACE Mega offers a rated payload of 1 ton with a new reinforced load body, with 14-inch tyres, ground clearance of 175 mm and gradeability of 30 %.
The cabin of the Tata ACE Mega is ergonomically designed, with a glove box with lock, provision for music system, mobile charging facility, digital clock and full fabric seats. The exterior features body-coloured front bumper, front wheel arch cladding, new body graphics, and wide-angle outside rear-view mirror on both sides. The vehicle also comes with a two- year/ 72,000 km warranty.

He added that the Tata ACE Mega, like other members of the ACE family, will strongly contribute to an entrepreneur’s bottom line of business operations and progressively increase the top line.
The Tata ACE was launched in 2005, and is currently leading the market with over 80 % market-share in its segment. The Tata ACE family of vehicles has crossed sales of 1.5 mn units globally, in its ten years of existence.
