Tata Motors rolled out the 100,000th unit of its Nexon compact SUV today from its manufacturing facility in Ranjangaon, Pune. This announcement comes in under 22 months since the company started sales of the first vehicle in September, 2017.
The Tata Nexon features a coupé-inspired design, and is powered by 108 hp turbocharged engines and various segment-first offerings like Multi-Drive modes, 209mm ground clearance and floating infotainment with eight speakers. NEXON also created a benchmark, with its biggest achievement coming in the form of a full 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests. NEXON is the only car in India to have achieved this feat, the company noted.
With the roll-out of the 100,000th Nexon, Tata said it gives the company confidence to continue building safer cars for Indian customers.
