Tata Tigor EV to come with drive modes; Offers three colour options and a Harman sound system; Driving range 213 kms as per ARAI
Tata Motors has launched the extended range Tigor EV in India at a starting price of Rs 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom) after deducting government offered subsidies. The Tigor EV will be offered on three variants – XE+, XM+ and XT+. ARAI has given the Tigor EV extended range a certified range of 213 kms.
The new Tigor EV will be made available across 30 cities in India with the company passing on benefits of the FAME II government incentives to commercial customers. The new Tigor EV offers a low cost of ownership, connectivity, comfort and zero emissions.
The company has stated that the new Tigor EV with an extended range can offer commercial customers the potential to earn higher revenues. The car will get signature EV decals, a premium looking front grille, alloys, shark-fin antenna & LED high mounted stop lamp. It will be offered in three colours – White, Blue and Silver. On the inside, the interior features a black and grey theme; the car will also get a Harman sound system, height adjustable driver seat and other kit.
The Tigor EV will feature a drive and sport mode. It gets a 21.5 kWh battery pack with a longer range than before. The battery pack has been designed to offer consistent cooling even in extreme temperatures. It will get two charge ports for fast charging as well as slow AC charging. The powertrain features a single speed gearbox.
The XE+ variant will get a driver airbag as well while other variants get a dual airbag system. Other safety kit includes an ABS as a standard. The vehicle is being offered to customers with a three-year warranty or 1.25 kms.
