Yamaha Introduces BS VI-Compliant Motorcycles Starting at Rs 99,200

The latest launch comprises two 149 cc bikes - FZ-FI and FZS-FI that will now available with single channel ABS and front & rear disc brakes across company showrooms starting November 2019 itself

India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has launched its BS-VI compliant motorcycles- FZ-FI (149 cc) and FZS-FI (149 cc) at a price range of Rs 99,200 – Rs 1.02 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Marking the introduction of new emission norms compliant vehicles by the company, the new models will be available across the company’s showrooms from November 2019 itself.

The new FZ-FI and FZS-FI will be powered by a 149 cc engine with a compression ratio of 9.6:1 and delivers a peak power of 12.4 Ps at 7,250 rpm/min as well as 13.6 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm/min. Inheriting FZ range’s signature styling, the new FZ-FI and FZS-FI BS VI version come equipped with a single channel ABS in the front wheel as well as front & rear disc brakes along with negative LCD instrument cluster.

Motofumi Shitara, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group of companies, said the new BS VI models in 150 cc are expected to yield Yamaha’s strong presence in the deluxe class two-wheeler category.
