Yamaha likely to launch BS VI compliant models before 2020 deadline - Phases start from November 2019
India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has been focussing on strengthening its market share in the premium motorcycle segment. The company has brought onboard technologically innovative mobility solutions that are environment-friendly, to ensure future growth in India and will soon bring out BS VI compliant models.
The company has issued a statement that it will quite likely bring out BS VI compatible motorcycles and scooters before the deadline of April 2020. The company will rework its line-up with BS VI compatible motorcycles and scooters in phases beginning in November 2019.
With a hike in cost of production due to componentry that makes products BS VI compliant, product pricing may increase by 10 – 15 % on average, depending on product features. The company has stated that it will offer offsetting benefits in select models with features such as side stand switch.
