Nvidia's Drive AGX platform can deliver nearly 320 TOPS of performance, run an spread of deep neural networks at the same time and also safely handle highly automated levels of driving.

Karma Automotive has announced its partnership with Nvidia for their Drive AGX Xavier and Pegasus AI computing platforms for the OEMs autonomous vehicles. The collaboration with Nvidia has been founded to further Karma’s in-house ability through like-minded innovators.

At the heart of the Drive AGX platform is Nvidia’s Xavier system-on-a-chip special processor that has been created specifically for autonomous driving. It uses six different processors to run redundant and diverse algorithms for AI, sensor processing, driving and mapping.

The Drive AGX platform can deliver nearly 320 TOPS of performance, run an spread of deep neural networks at the same time and also safely handle highly automated levels of driving. Reportedly, the new collaboration will improve Karma’s IP and tech portfolio, lending its resources and expertise to other partners and reduce development & production time, brining products to market faster.

As per the company, AI has been an enabling technology in the development and deployment of autonomous vehicles. Karma’s integration of Nvidia Drive AGX platform will offer high-performance and energy-efficient computation that is need to develop and safely deploy reliable self driving cars.
