Hyundai has introduced smarter sibling of its Grand i10 car in Grand i10 Nios that be available in three colours – Aqua Teal, Alpha Blue and Titan Grey Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has launched its new Grand i10 Nios at a price range of Rs. 4.99–7.99 lakh. The car has been designed keeping in mind the youth population and will be available in both 1.2 l petrol and 1.2 l diesel versions that will be complying with BS VI norms due in April 2020. The engine options will be available with manual transmission and in-house developed Smart Auto AMT transmissions. The 1,197 cc petrol engine will churn out 83 Ps power at 6,000 rpm and 11.6 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm and the 1,186 cc diesel mill is engineered to put out 75 Ps power at 4,000 rpm and 19.4 Nm torque at 1,750-2,250 rpm range. The Grand i10 Nios measures 3,805 x 1,680 x 1,520 mm in length, breadth and height respectively. The car body has been developed using 65 % Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) and High Strength Steel (HSS) for a robust performance. Grand i10 Nios sports a wheelbase of 2,400 mm and Hyundai signature Cascading Grille for an aggressive appeal at the front along with rear low and wide proportioned bumper for a sporty look. The boomerang shaped LED DRLs and chrome surrounded projector fog lamps offer the car a wider stance. S S Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said the Grand i10 Nios will offer value engineering and high quality for the Indian market and is Made-in-India, Made-for-the-world. Grand i10 Nios will offer first-in-segment wireless phone charger, 20.25 cm touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity - Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Voice Recognition Function along with i-Blue Smartphone App Support. Additionally, the car will be available with standard ABS with EBD, and dual airbags along with seatbelt pretensioners for enhanced safety.
